Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Description

Paxton Consultants is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate secure Azure environments for enterprise clients. You will help establish landing zones, networking, and identity foundations and automate the platform so teams can deploy with confidence. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement Azure architectures covering compute, storage, networking, and identity • Build repeatable infrastructure using Bicep or Terraform and manage it through source control and pipelines • Configure and govern subscriptions, policies, role-based access, and cost management • Automate operational tasks with PowerShell and deployment pipelines • Monitor environments, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability, performance, and security • Document architectures and runbooks and support application teams migrating workloads to Azure This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent role. This is a hybrid position based in Chicago, IL.
