.NET / C# Software Engineer

Job Description

Paxton Consultants is seeking an experienced .NET / C# Software Engineer to modernize and extend enterprise applications for a client environment. You will work within an Agile team to deliver secure, maintainable services and to move legacy systems toward a cloud-ready, microservice-based architecture. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain applications and APIs using C# and .NET 8, following clean architecture principles • Break down monolithic applications into well-defined services and migrate them to Azure • Build and optimize data access layers with Entity Framework and SQL Server • Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers • Write unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps • Partner with product owners, QA, and operations to deliver reliable releases and resolve production issues This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent role. This is a hybrid position based in Columbus, OH.
