Application Security Engineer

Job Description

Paxton Consultants is hiring an Application Security Engineer to embed security into every stage of the software development lifecycle. You will partner with engineering teams to find and fix vulnerabilities early, and to make secure development the easy path for developers. Key Responsibilities • Perform threat modeling and security design reviews for new features and services • Conduct manual and automated secure code reviews, with attention to the OWASP Top 10 • Integrate SAST, DAST, dependency, and secrets scanning into CI/CD pipelines and triage findings • Guide development teams on remediation and track vulnerabilities through to closure • Develop security standards, reusable patterns, and developer training materials • Support incident response for application-layer security events and report on risk posture to leadership This is a permanent position.
