Embedded / IoT Systems Engineer

Job Description

Paxton Consultants is hiring an Embedded / IoT Systems Engineer to develop firmware and connectivity stacks for IoT devices. You will work across hardware and software to deliver reliable, efficient devices that integrate with cloud telemetry. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement embedded firmware in C and C++ for RTOS-based systems • Develop and debug wireless connectivity using BLE, Wi-Fi, and MQTT • Integrate devices with cloud services for telemetry, configuration, and updates • Perform hardware bring-up and debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers • Optimize for power consumption, memory, and real-time performance • Write tests and documentation, and collaborate with hardware and product teams through release This is a permanent position. This is an on-site position based in San Diego, CA.
