Job Description
Paxton Consultants is seeking a Golang Backend Engineer to develop high-throughput distributed services and internal platform tooling in Go. You will build systems that are fast, observable, and straightforward to operate. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop backend services and APIs in Go, including gRPC interfaces • Build resilient distributed systems with attention to concurrency, performance, and failure handling • Containerize and deploy services on Kubernetes • Instrument services with metrics, tracing, and logging for strong observability • Write thorough tests and participate in code reviews and design discussions • Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to on-call and reliability improvements This is a permanent position. This is a hybrid position based in New York, NY.
Requirements
4+ years Go; gRPC, Kubernetes, observability, and distributed systems fundamentals.
