FinOps / Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer

Job Description

Paxton Consultants is seeking a FinOps / Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer to analyze cloud spend and drive efficiency across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will give finance and engineering shared visibility into costs and the levers to control them. Key Responsibilities • Analyze cloud usage and billing data to identify trends, waste, and optimization opportunities • Build cost dashboards and reports with allocation by team, product, and environment • Recommend and drive rightsizing, scheduling, storage tiering, and commitment strategies • Establish tagging standards, budgets, and anomaly alerts • Forecast spend and partner with finance on planning and accountability • Promote FinOps practices and educate engineering teams on cost-aware design This is a permanent position. This is a remote position open to candidates across the US.
