Data Platform Architect (Databricks)

Job Description

Paxton Consultants is seeking a Data Platform Architect to define lakehouse architecture, governance, and best practices on Databricks for enterprise analytics and AI workloads. You will set technical direction for how data is ingested, stored, secured, and served across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Design end-to-end lakehouse architectures using Databricks and Delta Lake • Establish governance, cataloging, lineage, and access controls with Unity Catalog • Define standards for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data quality • Plan for security, compliance, performance, and cost management across cloud environments • Evaluate and recommend tools and patterns, and lead architectural reviews • Mentor data engineers and partner with analytics, data science, and security teams This is a permanent position. This is a remote position open to candidates across the US.
