Senior Python Backend Engineer

Job Description

Paxton Consultants is hiring a Senior Python Backend Engineer to build scalable APIs and asynchronous services for data-intensive products. You will own backend components from design through deployment and operations. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop APIs and services with Python, FastAPI or Django, and PostgreSQL • Build asynchronous and background processing for data-heavy workloads • Write clean, tested, and well-documented code • Containerize applications and deploy them to cloud environments • Optimize database queries and service performance • Participate in design reviews and mentor other engineers This is a permanent position. This is a remote position open to candidates across the US.
